Black Man's Volunteer Army of Liberation
Starting from a failed Black Panther Party convention (in Washington D.C., November 1970) for a constitution based on their 10-point programme, the film analyses the social condition of black communities. It shows especially the self-help of the blacks in their fight against social repression.

The story of the Black Panthers is often told in a scatter of repackaged parts, often depicting tragic, mythic accounts of violence and criminal activity; but this is an essential story, vibrant, human; a living and breathing chronicle of a pivotal movement that birthed a new revolutionary culture in America.
