Privacy policy
Slate keeps only what it needs to show your history back to you. It has no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and it never sells or shares your data.
What Slate keeps
Your email address, which is how you sign in. The display name and country you give Slate. The films and episodes you mark as watched, with the dates you choose, and your watchlist and favorites.
When you sign in, Slate's sign-in service records the session with your device's IP address and browser or app identifier, so a session can be recognised and protected.
What Slate does with it
It shows it back to you, and nothing else.
Film and series information comes from TMDB. Slate's server asks TMDB for the titles you look at; TMDB never receives your email, your profile or anything you log.
Your country only decides which cinema listings, release dates and age ratings you see.
Slate emails you only to send sign-in codes and to confirm a new address, and only when you ask for one.
Deleting your data
Settings › Delete account removes your account and everything you logged, at once and for good.
